AH, was it the big burly guy or the older tall slim guy that talks like he's smoked for 100 years? The tall slim guy is the original. He left for a short time and was replaced by a big burly guy with a full beard, black hair and a bit on the tubby side. Now the original tall thin guy is back. I had both of them work on some of my stuff and haven't had a complaint.
I picked up my rifle today. $54 and change with tax and that's including the scope rings ($20 leupold rifleman) and mounting and bore sighting the scope. He also changed out the one piece scope base to a two piece without charge. I wanted that anyway. I can't complain about the Gander Mountain gunsmith. The rest of the store will take your left hand if you don't watch it close enough, but the smith is fair in price and does a good job.
