Are there any cable tv repair guys out there? I need some help with my tv.

I have cable tv w/ a converter box and a Tivo. When the tivo records on the lower channels mainly channel 2 (CBS) the picture is full of static, there is no problem when I watch tv through the converter box.

Here's the set up. Cable feed comes out of the wall to a splitter (so we can watch something else while tivo records). from the splitter one cable goes to the converter, the other to a signal amplifier (this helped the picture a little) than to the tivo. From there they both go to the tv (into different inputs). Both the splitter and cable wires are new, from the cable company.

The problem is only on the Tivo line and with the lower stations (2, 3, 4).
