Dragon, you will need to replace the bolt handle for a standard scope mount - the 'bent' handle on it it NOT going to work, unless you have extremely tall rings - been there, done that. The military bolt handles still come up the center of the receiver bridge and will interfere with bolt operation. So, yet more expense and a non-reversible mod.
The forward-mounted 'scout' scopes work well for basic hunting and shooting - NOT for target work but then, the military Mauser ain't a target rifle. ANd the rifle can be put back to original config.
My Mausers are all still in their 'uniforms' - I like 'em best that way.
