Aw crap! I'm going to He^^. I ordered a red dot for my daughters 795 using the standard 3/8" dovetail mount on th gun. If I'd been a bit more aware, I would have gone this route. Is the 3/8" really that evil for performance or is the rail very nice to have if one already had optics to mount that are non 3/8"?
