357, 44, and 45 mag carbine conversions

I've read of conversions of M1 carbines to 357 Rem Mag and 435 Win Mag that use regular M1 Carbine mahgazines.

I'm thinking of making an AR some day in one of the above calibers, and wondered if anyone had experience with feeding them in M1 Carbine mags.

Also, since 45 Win Mag seems dimensionally like an easy conversion from a 45 ACP AR, suppose it could still work on straight blowback, with the mass of the bolt/carrier/plunger increased?

357 might be as simple as rebarreling a 7.62x39 upper since the base is the same, though it would still need a mag adapter. Of course lowback may be easier, but I dunno.
