I need a picture

Has anyone ever changed barrels on a makarov?
Fac has replacement barrels in .32naa caliber and I have been asked about it
There was a "barrel pressing tool" that presses out the original barrel and pressed in the replacement.
the fitment that accepts the barrel on a Makarov is an interference fit with a pin.
I need a pic of the tool so if I need to I can make one.
Has anyone done this procedure?
are there any tricks or complications?

thanks guys

Personally I'd prefer the .363 Bullet over the smaller .32. Energy wise, the 32NAA has 242Ft-Lbs and our 95g XTP-HP Mak round has 233Ft-Lbs, and our 90g GDHP has 242Ft-Lbs. So your energy is the same with a 90g Bullet, but you get a bigger hole. Granted the .32NAA has less recoil, or at least less perceived recoil. But to me the Makarov (a true Mak, not a FEG) does not have enough recoil to justify the .32NAA. Just my two cents.

I too would go for the larger diameter, though I'd think about it if ballistics were good, ie anything like a 7.62x25mm.

Red face Mak 2 .32NAA Conversion

I think you will find the tool at makarov.com.

There has been much discussion of the .32NAA at www.gunboards.com (makarov forum).

Regards,
Shane
