Check out CALGUNS.NET. Anyone living in or moving to the PRK needs to be on there if they own a firearm.

You can get a CCW. Some counties are easy, some are not.

You can unload open carry. You can carry the sidearm unloaded on one side of a holster, the loaded magazine <10 rounder, you can carry on the other side of the holster.

You must have your sidearm unloaded and in a lock box when transporting in a vehicle. Loaded magazine may be carried in the same container as long as the sidearm is NOT loaded.

You must lock all firearms up when going through a school zone.

The trunk of a car with no inside access is considered a locked container.

I agree with FS00008. A good 12 gauge pump or double barrel using #2 or larger buck shot is ideal as a HDW.
