Not looking for legal advise, so anything stated wont be used in such a manner
I did some research before traveling to Kalifornistan and one of the big issues was accessibility. For instance if the ammo and the rifle are in close enough proximity to actual use it, then that was a no-no.
I have a micro vault and had my S&W .40 pistol in the trunk and the ammo up front. As soon as I hit the Nevada border it was back under the seat where it belongs.
But will you have issues if your ammo and weapon are stored together, even though your weapon is locked up?
