update on this project- I got some 6.5 Swede ammo and tried to chamber a round. the bolt would not close! it goes almost to the point where it turns down but won't go any further. I got out the calipers and the fire formed cases and a new Swede cartridge. about 1/2" from the base the Swede case is a little too big. every where else I measure the cases are the same. I don't know if who ever bored out the chamber didn't finish the job or just didn't do it right. I am begining to think that it was someone's f^%$ up and they unloaded it on Gunbroker to some sucker. (me) I am afraid this project is going to be expensive to fix. I considered buying a finish chamber reamer and cleaning up the chamber but since it is already buggered and I have no experience cutting a chamber, I'm not confident I can do it right. the best option would be to find a gunsmith who has a reamer and re cut the chamber but that won't be cheap either. I'm not sure the rifle is worth it. I guess I got out Bubbaed on this one.
