Great dogs! My Greta is a super pheasant dog with a great nose. She's a wonderful companion as well as an awesme hunting dog. Here's a pic of her and me with a limit of Wyoming pheasants shot last year.

I just knew that that had to be a Wirehair. Nice to know someone knows and appreciates the breed as much as I do. Just put down a 14 1/2 yr old, Zeb is my second and a strong dog. A real dog's dog if you know what I mean. Where did you get Greta?

Greta, my Drat, is from the Casper area. Roger Green's male was the father and her mother was from Germany. There's quite a following here in the Casper area for drathaars and with everyone I know very happy with the performance and disposition of the breed. Great dogs! |

My father was involved with a group in WI in the late 60's thru the 70's in breeding them and trying to get the breed established some more here in the states. Thirty years later it looks like they are starting gain some recognition and rightly so.
