Bipods

I am looking at puting a bipod on my Tikka T3 .223 for prarie dog hunting. Would a Shooter's Ridge Bipod work well or should I pay the extra money for a Harris

I have never bought anything but Harris so I really can't answer the question and do you justice at the same time. I know that Harris is the utmost quality, and I really haven't found them to be unreasonable in price, personally. I have, however, had to buy adapters for them on many occasions.

I love my Tikka, the only gun that is more accurate that I have shot is my .17HMR. The Tikka is a well made, and needs no modification to be a world class firearm

I have a harris and wouldn't get any other brand - most of the adapters pertain to rifles where a sling swivel stud is not present.

I have a Harris myself and love it. As far as I understand, the Shooter's Ridge is the same design coppied by Blount after the pattent expired.

I also have a Tikka T3 in .223Rem. VERY happy with it. Be sure to let us know if you find a suitable bipod; I'm considering the same purchase.

Thumbs up

Ah, you lucky fellers! A couple weeks ago at the range, I was spotting for a local 'smith who was sighting in a scoped Tikka T3 for a customer. Very nice rifle, indeed! Good price too! Hard to decide between that or the .30-06 Savage at another shop - similar price range.

Does the Savage have the Accu-Trigger, I've heard thats a nice system, but if I had to do it again, I would still get the Tikka
