The most Awesome Makarov I've seen

I've never really liked Makarovs much because of the small grip, which is a poor fit in my lanky hands. But today I got to hold a Makarov that changed my mind about them. It had a big synthetic grip that fit my hand perfectly, and when I popped the mag out, it was double stack. The price on this fella was $210.

I was sooo tempted. But I'm flat out of spendable money. Also have a long want list. Not sure what I'd get between this and a CZ-52. Ammo for this is probably cheaper.

I'm not sure if I should save up for this one or get a cheap one using standard mags and plan to make a grip myself. Also want to get an extended barrel with muzzle brake that matches the slide profile.

The pierce grips are nice
the double stack Mak's are nice too
I like the mak Because the grip is bigger
When the Lord made me he gave me flippers rather than hands
(it seems like it sometimes)
I cannot hold and shoot accurately small pistols.
Walthers, Bersa, J frame smiths I can hit the broad side of a barn but thats about it
a full size pistol is great but it is full size(and weight)
so it wont fit in my normal sized coat pocket that well.
I have found the Mak to be a perfect size.
It's easy to shoot, accurate, powerful, and big enough to hold on to.
if you shoot it inside a car it wont make you deaf, Well not that deaf.
its small enough that in a clinch an oponnent cant get a hold of it that easily.
Thats good
If you know your going to loose your gun it is very easy to render the mak inoperable.
before they can take it from you.
its simple, easy to operate reliable
it's the "Ak 47" of pistols.
now that the after market has fired off we can get all sorts of cool stuff for Makarovs .
Go to Makarov .com
they will help ya

I think so BRG3, because of the double stack. For me, this is the best Makarov I've seen:

It looks like Nickel steel, but it could just be the lighting.

Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that any people you meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination.

The slide is polished and "in the white", so the trigger and slide release. The frame and safety selector have been sandblasted and airbrushed with matte stainless Molyresin. The grips are Pearce. I sold that pistol about a month and a half ago. I've worked out a bunch of free transfers from my local FFL, can do refinishing for reasonable prices.
