| LAZERS: Cat Toys Or Theft Deterrents?
A couple of years ago on a bitter cold winter night a really good friend of mine came by when she got off of work at 12:30 AM to show me the CZ85 Combat that she was giving her son for Christmas and his 21st B-Day on the 26th. I guess about 02:00 AM she said she had to have a smoke and stepped out my front door. She immediately came back in and informed me that she thought a couple guys appeared to be breaking into a pickup diagonally across the street. Peering thru the mini blinds from the spare bedroom window I saw 2 guys who seemed to be trying a slim jim on the passenger door and a Toyota Camry was a few yards up the street with someone in it and a plume of exhaust vapor indicating that it was idling. I grabbed a red lazer that I torment our cats with and went out my back door, out the south side of my yard and thru the back yard of the vacant yard next door. I came around the southwest corner of that house and from the concealment of the shrubs I shined the laser across the parking lot to the front fender and then the door of that pickup. Dropping the slim jim they sprinted to the waiting car and sped away.
I don't think lazers even have to be on a firearm to have a profound, mind altering, psychological effect on some one.
