I currently have mine in a synthetic stock. I do not have the spring in it (I left it in the original stock. That is probably whats going on with your stock. The trigger group will not kick out, because there is no spring. It is also metioned in the instructions. So you will have to pull up with one hand and push in with the other.
The quick jab and hammer thing will work with an original stock and spring setup, yours will prob needs constant pressure. Up on the triggerguard and in on the tab (with the rifle upside down of course, safety must be on)
