Need help IDing... German dueling pistol?

Hey all, my husband's 94 year old grandfather gave him this gun today. He said it was one of a pair, he and his partner had split the pair "during the war overseas". He was in WWII, and we couldn't really extrapolate much else from him as he's got a touch of dementia.

The barrel is 10 inches long. The hammer is a dog. The gun itself is a little beat up, the wood's got some dings and the engraving's a bit worn. There's a name on the top, Jacob Moser. And on the side it looks like it says **In Munchen.

Any insight would be much appreciated. We're really interested to see how old it is. It really is a pretty gun
