They're not known for their reliability or durability. Consider a Beretta NEOS. They're slightly more awkward to handle, but they're excellent with reliability. If you don't like the NEOS, pay more for a Browning, cause you can't do better at that price range. I've heard great and not so great things about the Smith 22s.

If you get one use CCI Blazers in it...reliability problems seem to go away with that ammo...

I have a S&W 22A with target grips that has been utterly reliable and super accurate.

I own a first edition P-22 and love it. It has both barrel lengths and a kevlar display case. I haven't had a misfeed or misfire while using CCI Mini Mags.

I've got a NEOS and my friend bought a Browning. Besides coming w/ 2 mags(instead of one), I liked the angle of the grip and the modular design. I want to get the carbine kit for it someday. I like it alot, the only thing I don't care for is the front sight.

I like the little P22 for shooting, but it is rather small for my big hands. A range friend bought one, and it seemed to like the CCI Stingers best. Once he had it worked in, he gave it to his mom for a purse gun.

Between my SIG Trailside and the Ruger Mk2, the P22 doesn't get much use.

I sold a mk2 to buy the p22. I regretted it so much, I bought another mk2. The gun looks cool, but that's about it.
