I have had them too
I like them ok but my current faves are the east german refinished black phenolic grips
they are the thinnest smoothest and classyest looking grips I have ever seen for the makarov, the fit in the back is exellent
the inside curve where the web of your hand contacts the grip is perfect i think they just look good.
no lanyard loop no protruding thumbrest
there are some very fine makawrap and wood grips avalible
there is even some molded foux ivory but that looked hokey to me.
there are some cool grips out there.

I sold them...dam screw kept going right on through the grip! If I didn't crank it down all the way, I could pull the grips off over the screw...piece of crap grips!

I call them "fat grips"!!!!
I think I have them installed on two of my Maks only because I consider those "thumb rest" grips that they put on them to get the pistol past the ATF to be worse!!
I prefer my Makarovs to be stock!!!

Can someone take a picture of or describe the washer for me. I got one like NRAJOE, without a washer and I have tried washers I have, but I get the same result. I would like to know what "should" be used to try to get a washer as close as possible to that.

well has the rubber been damaged?
maybe get a plastic sleeve and superglue it in the hole ?
then washer/screw
Mine had it in the bottom of the hole
I think there was a groove in inside of the hole and the rubber was stretched to accept the washer
ill have to go find it and look at it.
Take the grip and the screw to the hardware store and see if the handy man there can help you.
its not that complicated.

makarov.com does not have wood grips anymore
they do have those cheesy faux ivory grips
I'd like some on the bulgie I'm getting soon - anyone know/has any to sell ? (i.e. not the pimp but hardwood or walnut)

hey dont fret this stuff comes in waves. what supports the aftermarket Makerov stuff is the fact that there are Millions of them out there in russia and eastern europe.
lots of retired cops and military men have them and want to fix them up as time goes on
check numerich and links there has to be some wood grips around
if not wait a while
something will turn up

reguards
