| Senior Member | Makarov I was working at the store the other day and a Russian immigrant came in. I was wearing my Makarov Tee shirt....he exclaimed that he liked my shirt and that he too (now an American Citizen) owns a Makarov. I asked him to say the name of the pistol again and he said ma-KAR-ov with the accent on the second syllable. He said that he is so used to hearing the name said, as I think most Americans do, MAK-arov that he doesn't correct it anymore! So, I learned something...not a bad thing |
