Well I guess no one is loading the .41 magnum rifle. Just loaded up 50 rounds to test. Used 17,18 and 19 grains of Hercules 2400 powder. Found my OAL to be 1.720 so seated bullets at 1.685 or .035 from the rifling. using a 210 Hornaday hollow point. Will try these and then try Winchester 296 powder. Have a lot of thickets filled with deer and the .41 is great there!

Cool! The .41 mag is an excellent round for hunting. It is also very accurate when loaded properly. I'm glad to see someone taking advantage of this supurb round from a carbine. It is sad that the .41 mag is often overlooked.

Wink Hey Jesse

 Do you have some good loads for the .41? I shot about 50 rounds, 210 grain bullet, using Hercules 2400 and found that 18 grains with Wnchester primer was best. Shot at 25 yards to pattern and three went through the same hole and two 1/2 inch flyers was the best group of 5 so far. Have some 200 grain Remington bullets to try next. They were the most accrute in an S&W pistol I had with the 8 3/8 inch barrel. A muilk jug at 100 yards didn't stand achance from a rest.
