Thompson Single Shot Rifle (1982 vintage)

Any body ever hear of the Thompson TCR Single Shot rifle of the early 80's? They are a swap barrel rifle similar to the contender with double set trigger and break open design. I'm not sure if it was made by Thompson Center or Thompson Auto Ordinance.

Anyway a friend has one that has not seen the light of day for over twenty years It has 2 barrels with it (22-250 and 7 Rem mag) and roughly 15 rounds of the 7 and 0 out of the 22-250. Any info on value, who made it and can you still get barrels for it. etc. I may have to offer him a few bucks for it.

Thanks, Ed B.

I'd say $300-$350 range...

Thompson Center TCR

I have two. They are very rare. My best one, a TCR '83 was stolen. The price guessed was very low. I would buy all I could at that price!! The receiver alone is worth at least $650. The barrels, if in good condition are worth $275 each. Need I say more?
