| HELP !!!Sighting in a new Daisy Powerline 880 Ok guys, Im not knew to air rifles just never had problems like this. I just tried sighting in a brand new Daisy Powerline 880 I bought to teach my 8 year old daughter. I started with BB's because I would be easier for her. It came with a scope, something she really wanted. I started with 5 pumps @ 12 yards, scoped, all over the place. Droped down to 3 pumps, all over the place. Went up to 4 pumps, all over the place. So I start to think its the scope. Take scope off and continue. 5 pumps @ 12 yards, all over the place. 3 pumps... 4 pumps... Pause from writeing this thread. 7 pumps, all over the place. When I say all over the place I mean 12 inch random groups at best. Im gonna try pellets when I get a chance but I remember my old 880 being deadly at 20 yards with BB's. I guess you really do get what you pay for but I expected better than this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| Try the pellets or some different BB's - if that don't work, see if the store you bought it at will take it back. Then try again with different brand. I am pretty happy with my Crossman - don't remember the model number though (1,000+ FPS). Mine will shoot ~ 1 " group at 12 yards (scoped). |

| Pellets usually shoot better than bbs. |

| Definitely something wrong! My Red Ryder shoots better groups! Is the action secure in the stock? No loose screws? Try more pumps too - might need more velocity.
