| Help Can't Shoot Straight I recently bought a Crosman 800X and it will not shoot on center. Using a fixed mount and adjusting the iron sights windage to the maximum, I still shoot 1.5 inches to the right. The shots were consistence with one falling right on top of the other, but to the right of center. I mounted the scope and the same thing happens. I hit just under 1.5 inches to the right time after time with all the windage adjustment taken up. Do you know how I can correct this problem? RM |

Aim 1.5 inches left of your target is all I can think of, you might need to send it in under the warranty. I always wanted one of those air rifles, I'd call you lucky if you weren't having this problem.

You say you've maxed out your scope's windage; at least that how I'm reading your comments. Could you maybe put shims in the scope rings to shift the scope body slightly left?

Try the Arkansas Hillbilly way of fixing your your BB rifle or anyother rifle. Find a forked tree with the trunks close together. Place your barrel between the forks and then put a little preasure on the barrel in the oppisit direction. Now common sense will tell you not to get down on it very hard when you do this. Shoot your rifle to see if you need to do anymore. Also do not hold me responsible. I read this in an old sports magazine years ago...A.H

Funny you should mention that A.H. I was close to wrapping the gun around a tree just yesterday. As the gun is brand new, I may try the return route. I called Crosman's Tech Service line and they said to shoot it about two-hundred time and it should straighten out....we will see. RM |

Wonder of wonders. I fired about fifty shots out into the rain Monday evening. Yesterday I cleaned the bore and set up a shot. It was to the left. I now could adjust the windage off max and I was hitting dime size groups from a resting position and ten yards away. Now if it will just stay that way..............
