| Senior Member | I've noticed that about the light weight polimer guns I've shot. I've got a PT111 and it jumps a lot more than my Dad's CZ (all metal). I shot a friend's Hi-Point COMP 9mm the other day. He brought it by the shop to see if I thought he got ripped off. He got it used for $100 from a guy he works with. We disected it. Looks like a pretty sturdy little no frills shooter. To be honest, I didn't even know Hi-point made pistols. All I'd ever seen was their carbine adds in NRA mags. We looked them up on the net and the web site said that even if you're the third owner they'd repair anything that breaks for free. Not a lot of companies around that offer that.

It would have had to shear the barrel off the receiver to fly off the frame rearward. I have 2 High Points and shoot the heck out of them with all kinds of ammo with no problems at all, Paul aka Sporty | |

| My next door neihbor has an ffl and buys 8 of the 45 cal. model and sells them. He does this twice a year. I shot one not long ago and it was a tack driver and very comfortable to shoot. I think he buys them out of the ShotGunNews paper cheap...A.H |

| hi-pointfirearms.com will get you to their website. Left side of the page, look for "Manuals" Select the one you want & as long as you can receive pdf files, you'll get the entire manual. If you have a slow dial-up, it might take 10 or 15 minutes but the manual is there and it's free! Good luck. PS: You might want to read their "testimonials". They have an excellent reputation, for fixin it, if it's not right. Like any new gun, clean it good, use a good gun oil, white lithium grease on the slide guides, & keep it clean. 22 ammo is dirty! The gun might be called "ugly" but "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!" |
