| Super Moderator ![]() | Welcome to G&G! My G3 muzzlebrake came off after being heated red hot with a Mapp Gas torch. Be mindful though that anything you replace it with must be US made. The AWB is dead but the import ban is still in effect, and the muzzle brake is one of the US parts that offsets the foreign parts count and allows the gun to be considered US made.

| Super Moderator ![]() | Dog gonnet, I forget which way to turn the brake. I think the threads are right handed though. Far as US compliance parts go, that is a tough one. Most of the more desireable parts are foreign for the G3, unlike the AK, whose US made stocks, grips, pistons, muzzle comps, and FCGs are among the best around. They also vary between which parts are foreign and US between models. If a part was already US made it doesn't help to replace it with another US one.
