Yep, sometimes I think hacksaws and Dremel Tools should be registered and restricted, not guns. :insane:

saw a M1 carbine put in a sporter stock the other day on gunbroker - sold for more than $700 I think :jaw:

I think I'm gonna take one of my M38 Mosins...cut off the buttstock...add a pistol grip... shorten the barrel down to 6 inches...cool huh?

I have a book from the 70's on Home Gunsmithing, by a guy named Bish. Lots of good info and ideas.
He had one project involving an M1 Carbine. New sights, reblued, shorty hunting-legal magazine, and a gorgeous little custom full-mannlicher stock!
Made a right purty little shooter!
I might be willing to do that to a good commercial clone - but not a good GI original!

No chit - it was a really nice piece of work! :right:

Nah, not Joe. He shoots a 205mm Howitzer out of the shoulder.
