| Member | Just found and read most of the last cheering and dissing of the hi-point models. but my question is...... If all you could afford was a hi-point would you buy one? Like I said I've read most of your replies and from a safety issue, I've seen a cetme eat up a baffle board from too light of an operator. A chk pistol that has had a bad temper with the ground, (rapid fire 6 of 8rnds 3 ft from shooter) and from personal experience, gas leaks from an old french bolt action. oh yeah I forgot, the first ak variant I fired had a trigger so light I chucked 1 out a 45 degrees (thank god we were out in the sticks). So...they ain't all perfect!

| Member | Those carbines are ugly as sin. But the 9mm pistol looked pretty good...

If it was all i could afford, I would buy any gun I could get. a raven, a jennings. at one point in Arkansas, I had nothing but a traiiler and clothes. I bought a norinco 9 mm trigger cocker at a gun show for 80 bucks. It eventually flew apart, bt at least it was something.

| Senior Member | Rugged I'm sure you know that you can't buy the Hi-point carbine in CA anyway (if we're talking about the carbine now & not the handgun) - you know that's the weapon of choice of Columbine high-school murderer whackos |

| Member | Thats all folks I was my first attempt on this system to start a thread, and I really have been thinking of getting a carbine. I just wanted to hear from people who have really owned or shot 1. The pistols look VERY clunky to me and I read about the breaking slide retainer pin, NOT COOL!@#$, my 15 year old will be shooting it too. I do think that I"ll try to fit it with a wood or re-inforced stock Thanks for all your opinions and happy Shooting!!!
