Having noticed that FAQ threads on other forums can get pretty long and filled with confusing discussion and the occasional hijack, I believe it's best to lock this thread since it's pretty good where it is. If you feel something belongs in this Sticky feel free to suggest it and I can unlock it for that submission. More specific questions and project ideas are the stuff for exciting new threads
