| Senior Member | Are there any 1903 colt pocket pistol people out there? I have an early model made in 1909 .32acp That old gun can hit flys on the target board at 15 yards!!! It is uncanny how accurate, smooth and easy to shoot a 03 colt can be. I kinda dressed mine up a little........ Gold trigger and ivory grips. still I have yet to find a small center fire pistol that shoots as well or "feels" as good as the old 03 colts. Is there any body else out there that has experience with these fine old pistols?

| Moderator ![]() | Our local Pawn/Gun Shop has one, but they seem to think it's made of gold - way too expensive for me. I got to shoot one at the range once, and I really liked the little pistol. One of John Brownings classics.

| Senior Member | The Colt Pocket Auto's command a high price, they're very collectable. A friend of mine has one in .25 that needs a barrel, severe chamber erosion. So, on that note - if anyoe runs across a barrel for a Colt .25 Pocket - PLEASE let me know!

| Registered User | I bought one from an elderly lady at an antique shop about 6 months ago for $220.00. This pistol is in pristine condition. I shots like a dream as well. I started re-loading for it not to long ago. Yeah yeah I know, re-loading a .32 acp? That stuff isn't cheap, it's more than 9mm. Anyway, I found the perfect powder grain and bullet for ir. That thing is a friggin tack driver!! I like it so much I started carrying for my concealed weapon. If you tell me how to get a picture on here I would love to show it off. Any ideas? |

| Senior Member | upload pics to a website of your choice, i use http://www.picturetrail.com. once you have signed on, they have a free option ( im too cheap, thats what i use). there are easy instructions on how to do it. once you have the pic uploaded, you will need to right click the pic, copy the image properties and then in your post type . that should work for you, i havent done it in a while, i think that is the proper way. if i made a mistake i hope someone will catch it. |

| Senior Member | I have an 03 I found. It was pretty rusty and siezed up but it cleaned up fairly good. it has some minor pitting and the grips are gone and all the springs are weak. I thought about rebuilding it but I'm concerned that it may have been in a fire. May just put a set of grips on it and hang it on the wall. Would love to get it firing again tho. |

Everything looks straight and everything works (after soaking in kerosene for a month) My main concern is metal strength. Don't want to spend a lot of money on it and have it beat itself to pieces after a few rounds. It's in a lot better shape than the 92 Winchester I dug up tho. :flame:

| Registered User | Another 1903/1908 Colt fan here. I have one 1903 .32, a 1913 production, no pitting but about 15-20 blue gone, and the rest thinning, but you can still see the bright polish, and the safety, trigger, etc, still have that "fire blue" contrast...just beautiful. I also have two 1908 .380 models, and one has had an old miniature MMC adj. sight and custom ramp front installed recently; still needs bluing. The other is about excellent condition. I like the .32 most for indiscernable reasons, and have equipped it with mammoth ivory grips which kinda go with its aged look. Looks a hundred years old, shoots lie a dream. I carry the .32 concealed when traveling light. |
