took my boy shootin' (ricky's 12 by the way)

well, first weekend of the year that was good enough to go shooting at the local gravel pit. we just took the .22's out. rick wanted to take my marlin 22 semi and was dissapointed when i said no. i told him it was time to learn more about shooting instead of watching the dust fly. what a good time, me, my boy, the 22's, and a federal bulk pack of copperwashed. for a boy of 12 he is a fine shooter and getting better every time. i have an Ithaca model 72 saddlegun that shoots pretty straight. ya know though, my old Cooey model 60 bolt(old weaver scope on it) is an unbelievable shooter. i've read how some of you guys shoot so i'm hopeing that i dont embarrass myself with this. i sighted the Cooey at 75 feet and i was able to keep the 3 shot groups within a 1/2 inch circle. the Ithaca can't put in a performance like that. good times.
