Shot a CETME for the first time today

I shot my CETME for the first time today. Man i am in love with that gun. It is sooooo much fun and very addictive. Also it ejects brass about 20+ feet (gotta love that) I'll admit that i have had mine about 4 months and have not been to the range lately. If you get one just be sure to take it all apart before you shoot it and clean all of the Century monkey poop out. Also it is pretty darned acurate. :full:

Thumbs up

:assult: :assult: :assult: :assult: :assult:

Another story about the Monkey crap inside the receiver!!!

My G3 had more than a teaspoon of metal shavings inside the receiver, and the flutted chamber was filled with crud, just make shure you pay attention to the fluttes in order to avoid extraction problems.

Once it was prpoerly cleaned, all bugs went away !!!!

Enjoy your new toy, great gun fer sure !!

Not sure gnssb, but I have never been too impressed with the goods Century (for short) puts out.

I have an Century SAR and the bolt and gas piston would not stay tight (their's were modified to screw ONLY into the front of the bolt housing whereas they were originally manufactured pinned together but the pin, according to them, was removed to make it BATF legal).

I called Century and rather than offering for me to send it back to be repaired and made right they instructed to have someone spot weld it.

I did and now, technically, it's questionable if it's legal or not.

Although, Century is one of a very few companies that imports and then modifies guns for us...the gun happy consumers....so I have to give them a tip of the hat in that respect.

But they need to take a very hard look at their quality control.

Yes i had extraction problems with the CETME for about the first 50 or so rounds, then after it got hot, it worked like a charm.

Talking

And now, Williepete, you are one with the Force! A good shooter your CETME will prove, hmmm? <Said in my best Yoda impression. > :right:

If you can, get some Aussie 7.62X51 ammo, and mine really likes CAVIM .308 too. Just avoid the Indian crap!
