Hey all. I really like the look and feel of the Walther P-22 with teh 5" bbl (although the comp is fake). It looks a lot like the Walther P-99, and it would fit my girlfriend's hand perfectly (she'd be shooting it for most of the time, plus ammo is cheap, I don't have any other .22s). I suspect that the Ruger Mark II or such is better, but what does any one know about the P-22 as far as quality and reliability? Does the slide hang up and not go back into battery? FTFs or FTEs? Any info appreciated.

ive got the p22 with 5" bbl. and ive got the p990. p22 is lots of fun because ammo is so cheap. the ruger felt like crap in my hands the browning 22 (buckmark, something like that) felt just as good as the p22. |

I'd take a mark II over a p22 anyday :right: The p22 is not bad but doesn't like many ammo brands.

A majority of P22 owners have major problems. The similarly priced Beretta NEOS, on the other hand, performs well. My experience using a rental was excellent.
