| Well, we cannot examine the gun you want . .. but if your post is any indication of your desire then by all means buy it. I think the regret if you do not will just take the fun out of another purchase. Last edited by nathangdad; 06-28-2008 at 07:48 PM. Reason: wording |

| Also, from the pictures, looks like the bolt is from another rifle, based on the numbers etched on it that is? Other then that, it looks great from what I can tell. But then I'm no expert either. lol Have you bid on it yet?

| The barrel date is correct for the S/N of the reciever. The electro engraved bolt scares me without being able to inspect the rifle. New bolts are around, but the price this guy wants is too high. A member of my club has a Remington CMP (Greek return) for $600

Blog Entries: 6 | hmmmm... ok, my other option... for sale, rem 1903a3 and carbon15 - Calguns.net I have been in contact with this guy for a while and we are talking of finalizing the deal, with me going through my gun shop here in town to get the transfer done. It looks great on the outside and he is supposed to be sending me pictures of the barrel and any proof marks on the stock by the reciever if it has any. He says he has never fired it and the rifling looks nice and crisp to him. $650- what do you think?

| I've got a really nice Smith Corona for $650. It was made around March 1943. Of all my WWII rifles, it is the most solid, best fit n finish and accurate as can be. The original SC bolts have an "x" on top of the bolt handle. My advice ... GO FOR IT!!! Here's mine: http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/190...na-1903a3.html (Smith Corona 1903A3)

| I have one of each a '43 SC and a '44 Rem. I believe Remington ran the SC plant My 1903 is a Springfield but it has some mismatched parts. I just picked it before I got sick and haven't checked it out yet, I wanted a '03 but it may be a rebuild or it's a parts gun, it was a police dept trade in, but I only paid $350 for it. If you google "springfield 1903 serial numbers" you can get an idea of all serial number ranges from the Nat'l Park Service (NPS.GOV)
