Another duck season soon Well in New Zealand we've started the count down till our duck season begins, three more days to go then we're into it!!! :cheer: I've been away working so the rest of the crew has had to do all the work on the ponds (bugger). They've done a great job to! The ducks have been getting through two 44 gallion drums of grain a night. So she's shaping into a big weekend. Stocked up on ammo, bought a new semi auto shotgun and a new Roboduck.

Well Jerry it was a real good weekend, Saturday we got 219 between four of us then Sunday only out for a couple of hours and got another 26. No one thought that the steel shot was much good, this is our first year that we had to use it. It seems to be very inconsistant, but thems the brakes. The first photo is a little over half the ducks we got  ![]() ![]()

We played around with a few types. 2 3/4 Winchester dry-lok 1 1/4, Winchester xpert 1 1/4, PMC 1 1/4, all in 2's. Also some Federal 3" 1 1/4 in 2's (which seemed to be the best) Bring back lead! The steel just doesn't kill cleanly.

On Bismouth, yes we can get it BUT at $59nzd a box it's pretty rich! Jerry, our next move is to try some 3" 1 1/4 3's. We can't get any ammo (that I've found) doing over 1450fps
