Would be very interested in a range report for one of these. Sorta cool looking.

I've never seen that kit before. Certainly is different. Mech Tech has been making rifle kits for handguns for some time... I've been interested enough to look for one, but not interested enough to buy sight-unseen.....

This idea reared its' ugly head during the late 60's but never went anyplace and subsequently faded away. But if I remember right the barrel was shorter. (Prior to December 1968 short barrels and butt stocks were not an issue).
Could be a viable idea but we'll have to see how many shooters loose an eye from the recoiling slide. Perhaps a set of lexan goggles come with the kit.

The concept worked fairly well with the German PO-8 Luger and the C-96 Broomhandle Mauser...no slide to penetrate the portion of the human body that doesn't need penetrated.

The short barrel version was so much neater looking.

Heck, I bought the set BEFORE getting a 1911...now all I have to do is make sure they match up when I finally get around to getting one
