Well here she is. Not flashy and shiny. No bling. No fancy grips. Not trying to be something she isn't. Maybe not the prettiest 1911 on the block, but she's dependable. The kind of 1911 from next door. A 1911 any GI would be proud to have at his side. The kind of 1911 you can take home to meet Mom. I think tomorrow will be 1911 day at the range.
Nice gun, DM. My wife has the same model.
RIA changed their logo about a year ago, but I think I prefer the old one. However, I like the way they improved the rollmark contrast.

My I recommend replacing the grips with Houge Rubber Grips. You won't regret it.

mossy500camo: Sir, grips look nice Range evaluation report when you can
Well to tell the truth they did'nt help with accuracy or anything. But They do feel 100% better in my hands than the originals. Feels better, more comfortable, nice looking.

They changed the roll mark between August and September. Mine was test fired in Aug and has the old mark, which I much prefer BTW. Now you need to get a decent set of grips and a decent mag or five.
