I vote smith because they failed to put industry traitor at the top of the page in huge letters.

I don't like websites that are inefficient with finding what you want to look at, ie that take a long time loading all their little images every step you take to look for what you want to find. Even worse are ones that don't show some of their products on the site, or make them really hard to find, especially if they're new. Most companies foreshadow a new product instead of dragging their feet posting that it exists.

For that reason, I'm going to say Mossberg. First it was pretty hard finding their special purpose 590s, and I still don't see the Plinkster 22 and centerfire bolt action rifle imported under their name.

Weatherby had that problem a bit with their Vanguard rifles too. And it takes a real afficionado to know that Tikka is imported by Beretta. A site with Tikka's name on it, even if it just redirects to its respective section of Beretta, would really help.

Mossberg is the pits. Poorly laid out, not much in the way of graphics. THere just isn't that much there.

They're all pretty much the same.

not enough manuals/information.

I think it's Hi-Point. They don't even have a website. MKS Supply is the primary site, and they do have pictures of the guns, but it's pretty lame.
However, Hi-Point is such a straightforward set up, that I don't think an elaborate website is needed. They'd probably have to pay a bunch to get one done, and who pays for that in the end? The consumer.
The fact that they have a life-time, no questions asked warranty sort of makes most of the stuff you look for on a website irrelevant. I love my .45, it shoots really tight groups with the peep sight, and it's a really big honkin gun, which is good because my hands are large.
You know what I'd like to see on a gunmaker's website? A webcam that showed the guns being made/tested/fixed, etc.

I'd just like a 3-d view of a gun. you know like you can zoom in, out, rotate it - car manufacturers do it, so whats keeping gun makers.

I would have to say the worst I have seen is the Colt website. It is just awful. What a sad pityful excuse for a website for a once devoted to beautifully engineered weaponry, now relagated to promoting a sub-standard line of pistols revolvers, and rifles.
