My wife, daughter, and I visited Arlington National Cemetary about 1967. We watched the changing of the guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier, and viewed John F. Kennedy's eternal flame when it was just newly installed. Looking over the rows of beautifully groomed and perfectly aligned grave markers was a sight I'll never forget. It was truly a sobering moment.
