| How many different carbines have been chambered for 9mm or 45ACP? I have only personally seen these: Kel-Tec High Point Tommy Gun Customised Mauser at surplusrifle.com And a Marlin Camo Carbine-which I have just found out about. Looks really cool too. Anyone else know of any more? The reason I am asking is that me and others out there would love to see a single shot rifle like a NEF or Rossi in one. |

I think they would be a great round for a pump action carbine, or a lever, due to their very short length, but I suppose straight blowback autos would be easier to make. Ruger makes a carbine in 9mm and 40 S&W. There are also AR-15 uppers chambered in various pistol calibers. Olympic is one major manufacturer. Some folks are making homemade AK based carbines in both rounds, more so with 9mm. FALs too.

| The Beretta carbine is available in 9mm, .40SW and .45ACP. Very nice gun, though a bit spendy! The old Spanish Destroyer Carbine in both 9mm Luger and 9mm Largo. A nifty little bolt-action. PJK Carbine back in the 70's, based on the Steyr subgun but in semi-auto only. Kind of like a prettier rendition of the Uzi. And the Uzi Carbine! Ugly as sin but functional. Not to forget the various versions of the Ingram/MAC/Cobray Carbine design. I know there are still others . . .

| I forgot about the Ruger and the Beretta. But mainly I was talking about a bolt -would be really small- or I think the single shot would be better. Spanish destroyer carbine? |

| UZI carbine shoots .22,9mm,.41ae,.45.all by changeing the bolt, barrel, and magazine,9mm and .41ae require only barrel and magazine change.

| Myarmor, the Spanish Destroyer was a neat little bolt action built for the Spanish Police. 9mm Largo originally, some have been converted to 9mm Luger for easier ammo availability here. A very basic design, like a .22 rifle on steroids. Google it up, and you'll find pics and data for it. They can be found occasionally on the gun auction sites, and on For Sale boards at some gun forum sites.

| Isn't there a modified/converted enfield in 45 ACP |

| Super Moderator ![]() | Yes there is, the conversion is by Rhineland Arms. They also do a Mauser Conversion. As well as a 45 Win Mag conversion, a rimless round ballistically similar to a 44 Rem Mag. To my horror I learned that Ruger is no longer making the PC carbines.

| I have the Ruger PC40 and it's a fun and accurate lil gun. I topped it with a Mildot and that made it even more fun to shoot. I'm not that experienced with pistol caliber carbines but the Ruger PC9 or PC40 might be something others might want to look at.
