| Large ring Mauser My dad has a large ring mauser in 7X57, I do not know alot about it. It has a factory 28" tube and has MOD 08 on the side Can anyone here shed some light on this for me, let me know what to look for to find out what exactly it is. Thanks Jon |

| It apperars that it ws made in Germany, I miked the ring it came itn at about 1.4" Stamped in the reciver forward of the bolt it was MOD.1908 It has a three stepped tapperd barrel at about 28" I have looked online and havent found out much thanks for the help. |

| All the 08's I've seen were made for Brazil. Don't know if they all were but the ones I've seen were.

| This is a pic I found appears to be the same as mine ![]() Mine has a diffrent rear sight the this It is more like an SKS in the way it used an "ramp" type rear sight that has adjustment up to 20 I think. Is this a god action? or is it junk?? I would love to "Sporterize it so the wifey can use it. |

| It's a good action but I know from experience sporterizing can get expensive.
