IMO, Ruger is missing a golden opportunity in not offering a .357 Magnum version of the new Deerstalker (or whatever the new .44 Carbine is called). Lot's of guys would like it. I would.
I'd also like something like an M1 Carbine conversion using the .357 Desert Eagle magazines.
My .357 Mag handloads (158 grain soft-point) clock at 2000FPS in a Rossi Puma 18 inch lever carbine - plenty of grunt for a close-up deer!
