Howard is from the refuge forums (duck hunters) he found G&G and told me he knew what I was doing nights now LOL.

I actually got to meet Howard at a trap shoot/fish fry I organized for the forum. Kind of like I got to meet ox and still hope to meet Dale & Snakebite whenever I ge to AZ as well as a few others.

I was just wondering if he membered up or was just lurking around. Danged Hillbilly.

Since then I've acquired two more guns, Jerry...a Ruger .357 Mag Security Six SS...and a Winchester Model 94 in 30-30 rifle. I'd like to show them off to you sometime Jerry. Maybe you'll get another opportunity for guard duty in the St Joseph area and we can get together again and swap stories. :right:

That's right. This coming weekend I'll be in a deer stand in NW MO near Rockport. Yes, I'll be taking both of those firearms and may use the Rem 700 30-06 one day, too. I'm concerned that the weather may be too warm. We were at 70 deg F today and this warm weather is supposed to stay around for a while. Hey...most deer season's it's down around 32 deg f. and I'm freezing my butt off. :insane:

Warm weather doesn't worry us for duck shooting, normally by the middle of the day we're down to t-shirts anyway. What is nice is a good stiff beeze that keeps the ducks down low
When it come to deer well, I was out yesterday-last night and saw 19 fallow and it was so warm. The stags are mobed up, saw two lots of three and one lot of four. My mate and I got a spiker and a stag both with wee nobs of velvet on. Saw four deer before dark then the rest with the spotlight, amazing animals to watch at night.

Hi Jerry, after a lot of trying I gave up in the end, a shame cause it looked real good in there.
