Some people call this one a "Space Gun". The barrel weights give it a distinctive look, for sure.

Its from 1958.

I'd be smiling a lot if that High Standard was mine. A classic .22 pistol.

The barrel weights are pretty interesting. This thing has a really hefty and solid feel to it.

Nice Space Gun in great shape!

The nices looking one I have is the Trophy with the 7 1/4 bbl. with both weights and the stablizer (muzzle brake)

If you want a stabilzer for your gun to complete it, the new and current High Standard company is making them again off the old tooling. Will cost you $125.00, but they are nice work.

Or shop GB for 6 months or so and occasionally they show up. The new ones on GB now are the new ones from HS, selling by GW Elliott in Ct. , who is one of their distributors and partial owner of HS.
