Found what might be a good deal. I was at walmrt lookin for 22 LR. Squirrel season opened up here and the Federal Hollow Point bulk and the Winchester bulk in the 555 are out of stock. But they had a bulk pack of CCI High Velocity 375 round for 24.95. I have never seen the CCI in a bulk pack before.

I've seen them at academy in my area.they are mini mags.its cheaper then buying them 100 at a time.I may have to pick some up for my mosquito since that is the only ammo it will shot reliably.
Blue box, says CCI, 375 rounds. I know they're 22 LR. I am pretty sure they say High Velocity. But 25 bucks does seem kind of high. The only way that would be worth it is if they were the Mini Mags. Hell since squirrel season hit there was one box of the Federals and one box of Winchesters, then they were gone in about a day. This was about a week ago. Still no Federal or Winchester bulk.

Mini Mags run at $10 per 100 so $25 plus tax would save a buck or two, and get you 75 extra rounds compared to buying 3 100 packs. If it's all that's at your local yer stuck with it. The only thing I really need them for is my Mosquito like squirrelly said. I prefer the 36 gr Federal Champion Bulk HP or other CCI premium for everything other than the Mosquito. The only Winchester I shoot is the M-22. You have to buy at least 1k but it's worth it.
I went into Dicks to get a 1000 pack of M-22 for $50 today but all they had was the 2000 pack in a plastic box for $120. The case was not worth $20 and I can't spare $100+ for an ammo purchase often. Ended up buying a couple boxes of CCI Velociter since I can't find em anywhere local, or online. I am kicking myself for not buying the third, but at $9 per 50 they are a little expensive for .22lr. Also picked up a 5 pack of Federal Truball slugs for $3 for the 20 GA.

Kad, I know that's pricey. As for me I pick up what's cheap and do pretty good with them in my rifles. I have only bought one box that was bad and that was a box of the Winchesters. Out of all the 22s I have bought there have been 2 bad boxes. The afore mentioned Winchesters, and a box of the Fed target or match rounds. My rifles didn't like that box at all. As for the box of Winchesters, all other boxes my rifles have shot them fine. dead center everytime. Except for that one box. I sure hope my rifles ain't changing their taste. That means I will have to retest them all. What gets me is the sales tax in Tennessee. I went to the store yesterday and 33.58 before the tax, with the tax it was 36.69. Sales tax was 9.250% that was 3.11 in sales tax. With people hurting and trying to get by, it seems big gooberment and local city and town, and state gooberments want to get their fair share too.

Well I made my choice. Went back down to walmrt today and they had gotten 2 boxes of the Wichester bulk in the 555 in stock. So spent the 19.97 on that rather than the 24.95 on the CCI.
You don't need high velocity rounds to kill a limb rat, hell around here I will use shorts most of the time , till they get wise to ya.
No, but it helps if the rounds cycle reliably. My main problem with most Winchester, and all Remington rimfire is the stuff is underpowered and won't cycle, inaccurate, and dirty. The model 60 is the only .22 I have that can shoot the really bad stuff decently, and it's the one that is also the biggest pain to clean.

All ammo is dirty and the MOD. 60 ain't that bad to clean, all I do is a field cleaning (ok maybe a little more) but I mostly shoot a single shot anyhow and I hunt them close, I've got dogs that will fetch for me , I also hunt in Florida so the trees don't lose many leaves so get'n close prolly ain't as hard for me as it is to some .
They have been bulk packing cci 22lr for along time off and on . I still have a footlocker replica that came with 500 stingers in it . Had it NIB since 1986 . Just can't make myself open it .

For bulk ammo 22 LR ammo, I've had pretty good luck with CCI Blazer. Yes, I have an occassional misfire, but it seldom occurs. It feeds well in my several 22 semi auto rifles and a Ruger semi auto pistol. Also, it has been accurate for me. Loaned some of it to a fellow shooter one day who would fire over a dozen different brands/kinds of 22 ammo thru his very accurate scoped 22 rifle just to see what shot best in his rifle. Recall he shot 6 shot groups, not sure if it was 25 or 50 yds. Only match ammo made by Eley or Wolf and one other brand had a better group than the Blazer.
I also saw a new Winchester 22 bulk called the M22 out on the shelf. That is some pricey ****, 45.97 per 1000 rounds. Anybody ever use them? And if so are they any good? So I start doin mental math, which with me is a ballpark figure without tax, and the 10 cent ammo fee the state of Tennessee charges.
For 2 boxes of the Winchester bulk at 19.97 a box is 39.94 before tax and the ammo fee of 10 cents. At that price you get 1110 rounds of Winchester bulk.
The Federal red box of bulk 22 ammo is also 19.97 a box. The Federals have 550 rounds per box. That would be 1100 rounds for 2 boxes at the same price as the Winchester bulk.
So for the Winchester bulk at 555 rounds that is about 3.5 cents a round. And for the Federal 22 bulk is about the same price per round as the Winchester bulk.
These Winchester M22 rounds I saw at 1000 rounds at 45.97 a box would be 4 cents per round. So what makes these M22 rounds so special? Or could it be the same rounds that are in the Winchester bulk rounds just put in a fancy box for marketing purposes?
