| Senior Member ![]() | Yes good deal. Usually the LR ammo will be more accurate. The shorts are fun to play with. Try all the major brands you can dig up. Cheap at a buck a box of 50. The gun will tell you what IT likes. Most of all have fun!

| No, no .22 WMR (Magnum) in this gun! But it may well like the CCI Minimag .22LR ammo - most .22 rifles do. Like Jerry said, try many brands and types. I've always had the best luck with CCI Minimag, Federal Lightning and Winchester Dynapoint. The price was good. Any decent older .22 rifle in a gunshop down here usually starts at $100 and goes up. The Marlin 100 design predates the later Model 25, and is a very good starter gun.
