i wonder why they don't produce a .22 semi-auto handgun. seems to me that would be a natural for their line up. i bet it would be a good seller for them.

i think Hi-Point would realize that and design the slide, and springs for .22 pressures.

I would buy one. I have an empty .22 holster sitting in my closet just waiting for an occupant.

Well, maybe my .380 holster if it is a Hi-Point. Their .45 is like picking up a power drill.

It would be interesting to check out, if they did make one. Wouldn't it PO a bunch of folks if it proved itself superior to the Walther P22 . . .?

I was looking at the P22 as a possibility for my next purchase. Since the wife has taken over my Buckmark, I wanted something in a .22 for her. I ended up getting a Ruger 22/45 for her. I took it to the range on Friday. It shoots better than I do. I would still pick up a (snicker) Hi-Point .22 if it was available and reasonable priced.

I just don't think there could be a niche for Hi-Point in the .22 caliber. I have a .45 Hi-Point that I love, and the reason I bought it is simply because of the price. NOBODY that I know of has a new .45 anywhere close to that price point. After I got it, I found out it's accurate as all get-out with the peep sight.
Their .380 sells for less than $100 bucks. So what could they sell a .22 for that would make sense? They'd have to price it so low they couldn't possibly make any money on it.
On the other end, they ARE coming out with a .45 carbine. Booga-booga!

Nobody around here has the .380 Hi Point for under $100. Average price in central N.C. is $139 and up.

the .380 highpoints go for 99.00 down here . unless you go to a pawn shop then they 115.00.

Best price around here for the 380 is $150. I saw one in a pawn shop a while back and they actually wanted $180 for it.
