Hammer Work 10 / 22

Hello All.

What makes the aftermarket hammers drop the trigger pull weight? I am interested in understanding more about the geometry that allows the trigger to function. Does anyone have leads or links to such information?

the depth and angle of the hammer hook has the biggest bearing on the pull weight.

Simply polishing the contact surfaces on mine smoothed it and made it feel much lighter. I was amazed that Ruger let such roughly finished parts get out the door!

ruger has a under-the-table contract with volquartsen - ruger is required to make tacky parts for the 10/22 so volquartsen can make his money

They have sure begat a major cottage industry in upgrade parts!
