Squires-Bingham Model 20 (need advice)

I have found my Dad's old Squire-Bingham model 20 and its fairly dusty but otherwise seems to be in quite good shape. I have been searching all over the net for relevant information on the gun and I only know that the company is now owned and goes by the name Armscor.

My question is where can I find more information about this gun such as how to clean it, its operation etc. Also what are the potential risks behind firing such a gun that is not properly cleaned?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to G&G.
The Model 20 is a pretty Simple semi-auto clip fed Rifle.
Cleaning the chamber and bore will make the gun safe to shoot as well as Reliable in feeding and extracting the cases, if all else is in good shape. I would suggest that you take it to a gunsmith and have it cleaned, and ask if he can show you how to properly disassemble the gun for future cleaning.
A .22 cal. Boresnake will clean the bore and chamber with one pull thru from the breach. An old ,clean toothbrush with some gun solvent will clean the bolt face and the inside Rails of the receiver. A little spray Gun oil on the bolt slides should be good to go after that.

Thanks a lot MM. Do I need a license to bring the weapon and get it serviced by a gunsmith in Canada (assuming you know any laws of Canada)? Also would I need a license to purchase these cleaning materials?

Eventually I will obtain a license because I will need one to purchase a magazine and ammo, but until then...

Canadian Law....I have no clue. I wouldn't think you would need a license to buy a boresnake ,oil, solvent, etc. Call a local shooting club or Gun dealer (Marstar).
