| Senior Member | That gun will last you many years. And since it has a longer barrel it should work fine for rats, coons, possoms. But shot placement will be something that you'll have to work on with that rifle. A .22 LR will kill coons and such, but only with a good shot. (Behind the ears works well) ![]() |

| Senior Member | I'm sure that rifle would work OK, but I think you can get a savage MKII with a wood stock and the accutrigger for not much more.
