| Marlins The first rifle I ever owned as a kid was a single shot marlin short stock. After years of shooting it, I've decided that I would like to buy another. However, first I want to do my research. What models do you all own and which do you recommend. Keep in mind I'm only looking at bolt actions and precision is important to me too. Also, only talk about Marlin cause there are other threads on other target shooting rifles. |

| I haven't exactly decided, so I'm open for both. However, probably leaning towards clip fed. |

| I was real partial to the 880SQ, but it is discontinued. It had the heavy barrel, and had a very good reputation for accuracy. Currently, Marlin doesn't seem to offer the heavy barrel in their .22LR rifles. They need to address this deficiency in their lineup.
