Whats your favorite .22 rimfire ammo?

I have been shooting CCI Mini- Mag ammo since the late 60's and still shoot it today in my Squirrel rifles.Perhaps I have been lucky, but I have never owned a .22 rimfire that didn't shoot it well.Anybody else got any favorites?

Cheap.

I dont really hunt with it, i just shoot around, so i dont need pricey ammo, so whatever is cheap.

Usually a box of 550 federal or remington hollow points for 10 bucks.

I usually shoot CCI subsonic stuff for small game hunting and some Federal bulk stuff for plinking at the range.

I've had good results with Fed.Am Eagle 38gr Hp. 4000 to the case. Last ones I bought were $0.86 per box, I bought two cases so it's been a while. In three of my .22 rifles they shoot within 0.1" @ 50yds as they shoot with Eley 10X. 10 shot groups with the Am Eagle's average .485, .510, .550 with these three rifles. My .22 handguns love them also. Misfires are maybe 1 per brick, Rem golden bullets are 7-8 per box, same with CCI's & PMC's. With one 100 pack of Rem target I had 22 misfires out of one box.

CCI Standard - works as well for me as the more expensive Greentag. Same thing really - Greentag just tests more consistently.
For more general shooting, CCI Minimag.

Hmmm . . . I begin to see a pattern here.

I recently tried CCI Blaser, but wasn't impressed.
BUT - I too just acquired a TOZ-78, so I might try it again.

SK Standard Plus

It works well in just about all of my .22s and exceptionally well in some of them. The Kimber seems to like it.

I buy it by the case from Champion Shooters.

CCI Mini-Mags and Stingers. My 39A will shoot almost anything well, but these are a bit more consistent.

Winchester Power Points, have always used them, also i have used Bushman quite a bit, but Power Points are always my first choice.

Federal Champion's these days when looking at cost, overall reliability, and accuracy with most of my rifles. There is better ammunition. CCI Mini-mags are consistantly very good, but they cost two to three times as much as the Champions.
